Paolo has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Padua University in Italy. He previously held a variety of positions in different international companies ranging from Director of Procurement & Manufacturing to Technical Director. In 1988 he founded Garbuio SpA and quickly grew the company firstly in Green Leaf Threshing and then in primary. In 2006 he successfully led the acquisition of Dickinson Legg and he is largely responsible for Garbuio Dickinson becoming, and sustaining leadership in the primary tobacco market.

Andrea has a degree in Economics and Corporate Management from the Ca' Foscari University in Venice (Italy). Andrea has over 20 years experience in various Accounting roles across many industries and prior to joining Garbuio Dickinson was Finance Manager of an Italian fashion company. Andrea joined the company in September 2001.

Peter has over 40 years experience in the Tobacco industry starting his career at AMF Legg as an apprentice and rapidly progressing to Sales Director. On Joining the Garbuio Group in 1999 he helped Garbuio break into previously untapped markets which was instrumental in Garbuio’s success. Peter now has Group responsibilities for sales.

Diego has an engineering background and Ph.D. in Mathematics. Having joined Garbuio as a process engineer, he soon led the company software department. Diego founded ISIS, the Garbuio-Dickinson wholly-owned software arm that has become a world leader in automation. He is now focusing on business development in industries other than tobacco. With a strong background in the Theory of Constraints, he is helping customers to improve their manufacturing performance.

Tom White graduated with honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 1970. He worked for Imperial Metal Industries designing and developing high speed manufacturing machinery for ammunition. Later he worked as Chief Engineer for a lead recycling plant owned by the GKN group.
In 1977 he joined BAT and was based in their Head Office Technical Services department in London, where he carried out the planning and execution of Primary Projects in BAT factories around the world.

Tom was Production Manager for TISA Panama from 1980 – 1982 where he was Production Manager of the cigarette factory and GLT plant, before returning to BAT Technical Services. He joined Dickinson in 1985 as Technical Director, where he has been responsible for the design and development of the Dickinson and later Dickinson-Legg range of primary process equipment. Tom is now Group Technical Director with responsibility for equipment design, safety and functionality. He also provides technical assistance to the Sales and site teams when required. Overall he has more than 32 years experience in the Tobacco Industry.

David qualified as an Accountant in 1983 whilst serving in the British Army and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. David joined Dickinson Legg in 1999 as Financial Controller and was appointed Finance Director in May 2002.When Dickinson Legg Group plc listed on the London Stock Exchange in December 2002 he was appointed Group Finance Director. On Garbuio's acquisition of DLG plc in March 2006 he was appointed Managing Director of UK operations. Prior to joining Dickinson Legg, David held a number of progressively senior finance and accounting positions in international companies.

John started his career in the Tobacco industry with Molins Ltd. London, joining as a technical apprentice in 1969. After periods in the design drawing office and technical sales, John joined Dickinson Engineering in1982 as area sales manager for Africa, Middle East, Southern Europe and UK.
In 1998 after the acquisition of GBE Legg, John was invited to join the board of directors of the newly formed Dickinson Legg Ltd. as Regional Sales Director and subsequently as Sales Director.
John is currently Sales Director for Garbuio Dickinson based in their UK division and is responsible for tobacco machinery sales and marketing.

Jamie has 20 years experience in the tobacco industry. Prior to joining GBE Tobacco in 1990 he served as a technician apprentice with a DeLaRue group company. During his time at GBE Tobacco Jamie progressed to become a Project Manager having successfully complemented his engineering experience and qualifications by obtaining a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies at Portsmouth University.

Two years after Dickinson acquired GBE Tobacco in 1998, Jamie was appointed Head of Projects, which was extended to embrace group responsibilities following the acquisition by Garbuio in 2006. In 2007 Jamie was appointed Commercial Director and in addition to his project and I&C responsibilities which are group-wide, he also has the responsibility for UK manufacture.
