The Garbuio Dickinson unwrapping robot uses a standard anthropomorphic robot with 500 kg net load handling capacity. The robot is fitted with a carton clamping unit designed by Garbuio Dickinson.

A single robot, assisted by one single operator, will handle up to 70-75 c/h max, meaning one robot unit is sufficient for both Burley and Virginia lines.

The robot capacity means that it is suitable for C48 cartons with 200 kg and has a robot action range of 3500mm - 2300mm. In addition to this the compressed air pressure is set at 6 bar.

The clamping unit is made from welded and painted carbon steel sheet. The clamping unit carries the primary and secondary clamping systems which are both pneumatically activated. The secondary clamping unit brackets are fitted with pins that are designed to penetrate the carton side walls.
